Como is located in the enchanting area of Lake Como, and has a lot to offer to conference organizers and participants: from the wonderful landscape to many suggestions about culture, leisure and art, as well as a variety of accomodation and conference facilities (find out more here!).

Como is easily reached by plane, being close to both the Milan Airports of Malpensa and Linate. Como is also very well connected by trains to all of the major European Cities. Frequent and fast train service connects Como to Milan or to Switzerland daily. Driving to Como is also very easy and pleasant, either by fast highways or by scenic mountain roads. For visitors arriving by plane, Lugano airport is only a 20-minute drive from Villa Olmo, where Centro Volta holds its premises, and Malpensa, Bergamo, and Linate airports are roughly 30-45 minutes away. Motorists will find their journey just as easy; the “Como Nord” exit on the A9 motorway from Milan takes them virtually to the gates of Villa Olmo, parking facilities surround the area.

Villa Olmo is served by two railway lines Ferrovie Nord Milano, with a station at “Como Lago”, and Italian State Railways, whose Como S. Giovanni station is on the international Milan-Chiasso line.

B) You can reach Bergamo railway station by bus (ATB line http://www.atb.bergamo.it/ENG/homepage.aspx) from the airport. The bus stops at bus stop no. 12 at the nearby bus station.
