The Workshop and Round Table on "Fostering the Biosecurity Norm: An Educational Module for Life Sciences Students" addressed the issue of Biosecurity Education for the Life Sciences Students. The Workshop brought together experts on biosecurity, officials and experts on present and past projects on education on biological threats and dual-use for the tertiary-level students in biology and biotechnology, and professors and educators from the European Life Sciences Faculties of leading Universities. The aim of the meeting was to address and discuss contents, feature and ways of deliver of such an education, as well as actively engaging the academic scientific community in the process of biosecurity educatuion implementation. During the Workshop were presented researches and assessments on biosecurity education and international projects developed by academia and NGOs on this subject. A key objective of the Workshop was the discussion among Life Sciences Professors, University representatives,biosecurity experts, officials of national and international institutions on contents, features and ways of implementation of a biosecurity education.
