Growing
world’s energy demand, in addition to the need of coping with the challenges of
global warming, pose the question of if
and how to facilitate global expansion of nuclear power, develop existing power
generation capabilities and/or expand them to new States. This discussion has
to take highly into account implementation of nuclear safety standards,
drafting of solutions for nuclear waste management, adoption of non
proliferation measures and prevention of incidents, misuse and nuclear
terrorism.
