Growing world’s energy demand, in addition to the need of coping with the challenges of global warming, pose  the question of if and how to facilitate global expansion of nuclear power, develop existing power generation capabilities and/or expand them to new States. This discussion has to take highly into account implementation of nuclear safety standards, drafting of solutions for nuclear waste management, adoption of non proliferation measures and prevention of incidents, misuse and nuclear terrorism.
