The Forum is a consequence and a further elaboration of the topics and issues discussed in the previous UNESCO International School Forum on "Energy Security in the Third Millennium: Scientific and Technological Issues" held in Como, Italy, on May 14-16, 1998.
The main goal of the Forum is to favour far-reaching debates and critical discussions on different points of view concerning scientific and technological aspects of energy production, transmission and consumption in Asia, OECD-Pacific and CIS Countries, contemporary tackling economic, social and environmental aspects.
